Plain-language summary
The only personal information we collect is what you send us through our contact form, and we use it to respond to you. We advertise online, and we use Google tools to measure whether those ads work and how the Site is used; those tools set cookies, and they may be used to show you our ads on other websites (remarketing). We do not sell your information. Details, including how to opt out, are below.
Who we are
This website, shorelineconsultingllc.com (the "Site"), is operated by Shoreline Consulting, LLC ("Shoreline Consulting," "we," "us"), a Texas limited liability company and part of the Lochow Ranch family of companies, with its principal office at 8745 N State Hwy 6, Bryan, TX, 77807. You can reach us at info@shorelineconsultingllc.com or (979) 703-7988.
This policy describes what information the Site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this Site only, not to other websites we link to.
Information we collect
Information you give us (contact form)
When you submit our contact form, or email or call us, we receive the information you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, the city or property location relevant to your inquiry, and your message. Providing this information is voluntary; we only ask for what we need to respond to your request.
Anonymous, cookieless site analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how visitors find the Site. This service is cookieless: it does not use cookies or persistent device identifiers, does not track you across other websites, and does not give us information that identifies you personally. Visits are counted using a temporary anonymous hash that is automatically discarded within 24 hours. The aggregated statistics we see include things like page URLs, referrer, country or region, browser, and device type: never your name, exact location, or IP address.
Advertising and analytics (Google)
We advertise online (for example, through Google Ads). The Site loads Google Tag Manager, which runs Google's tags on our behalf: Google Ads conversion tracking (to measure whether our ads lead to visits and inquiries), Google Analytics 4 (to understand how the Site is used), and, where enabled, Google Ads remarketing (see the Advertising and analytics section below). These tools use cookies and similar technologies and share standard usage data with Google (such as the pages you visit, and general device and browser information), which Google processes under Google's Privacy Policy; you can read how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We use this information only in aggregate, to understand which ads work and how the Site is used. See the Advertising and analytics section below for your choices.
Server and security logs
Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser information) to deliver pages, maintain security, and prevent abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect payment information through the Site, we do not run account registration, and we do not knowingly collect any category of sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data). We do not sell personal information. The only advertising-related data we share is the advertising and analytics usage data described above and in the Advertising and analytics section below; it does not include what you write to us in the contact form.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to: respond to your inquiry and provide quotes or services you request; communicate with you about work you have engaged us for; operate, secure, and improve the Site (aggregate analytics only); and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Data retention
Contact-form submissions are delivered to us as email and retained in our business correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, provide services, and maintain business records, after which they are deleted in the ordinary course. Aggregated analytics contain no personal information and are retained as statistics only.
Your choices and rights
You can browse the Site without providing any personal information. If you have submitted information and would like to access, correct, or delete it, email us at info@shorelineconsultingllc.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and we will honor reasonable requests within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law; you may exercise them through the same address.
We do not sell personal information; the Advertising and analytics section below describes how to opt out of the advertising and analytics cookies we use, including remarketing.
Advertising and analytics
We advertise the Site online, currently through Google Ads, managed for us by our advertising consultant. The Site uses Google Tag Manager to run Google Ads conversion tracking, Google Analytics 4, and, where enabled, Google Ads remarketing. These tools set cookies and collect the usage data described above. Specifically:
- We use data collected on the Site to measure which of our online ads lead to visits and inquiries, to understand how visitors use the Site, and, with remarketing, to show our ads to people who have previously visited the Site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on websites and apps across the Internet.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone's past visits to this Site.
- Google Analytics collects data about how you use the Site (pages, session length, general location, device); we see it only in aggregate. How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your choices:
- Opt out of personalized ads from Google (including remarketing) at Google Ads Settings.
- Opt out of many advertising networks at the Network Advertising Initiative page, optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site works fully without them.
- Some browsers can send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Google states that it applies restricted data processing when it receives this signal from users in US states with applicable privacy laws.
Children's privacy
The Site is a business website intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at info@shorelineconsultingllc.com and we will delete it.
Security
Contact-form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and processed server-side. We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
